Saudi Arabia’s Shura Council Participates in 13th Conference of Parliaments of European States

The 13th Conference of Presidents of Parliaments of Small European States concluded yesterday in Cyprus with the participation of the Saudi Shura Council delegation headed by Deputy Speaker Dr. Abdullah bin Salim Al-Maatani and the Councils of Kuwait, Oman, Egypt and Palestine.

The conference stressed that the purpose of this gathering is to exchange views, discuss issues of common concern, and convey positive experiences among nations.

The conference also affirmed the keenness of small European countries to develop relations with Arab countries and the Middle East in general, and the aspiration to further openness to the countries of the Middle East, and the importance of the role of parliamentary diplomacy in reaching legislative frameworks that serve common interests.
