Saudi Arabia’s health ministry confirms ‘No coronavirus cases among pilgrims’

Assistant Minister of Health and official spokesman of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdali, confirmed that no coronavirus cases were recorded among the pilgrims, nor any diseases affecting public health.

This came during a press conference held this evening in Makkah with the participation of Lieutenant-Colonel Talal Al-Shalhoub, security spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for Hajj affairs, Dr. Hussein Al-Sharif, on the health status of pilgrims.

The security spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, Lt. Col. Talal Al-Shalhoub, gave a presentation on the security plan of Hajj rituals and highlighted its success. In turn, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for Hajj Affairs, Dr. Hassan Al-Sharif, thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for the continuous support they give to Hajj affairs and all that concerns pilgrims.
