OIC to hold a virtual Workshop to promote Science and Technology for its female Members

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold on Thursday a virtual workshop on promoting science, technology, engineering and mathematics education for women in OIC’s member states.

The workshop will be held in partnership with the Islamic Development Bank and in cooperation with Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH).

The workshop will review the role of the OIC in advancing the efforts of member states to educate women in different fields of science. Participants will also discuss the importance of this education for women and the challenges facing women, in addition to presenting member states’ success and policies in promoting science and technology education for women. The workshop will provide recommendations for improving education for women in these areas.
