Arab League Welcomes Signing of Peace Agreement between Sudanese Government and Armed Movements

Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit has welcomed the signing of a peace agreement on Darfur, the Blue Nile and South Kordofan regions by the government of the Republic of Sudan and the Sudanese Armed Struggle Movements on Monday in Juba, after negotiations for about ten months with successful mediation from the Republic of South Sudan.

Aboul Gheit has announced, in a statement, that the Arab League is committed to pushing forward all forms of cooperation and coordination with all Sudanese peace partners.
